Retirement & Relocation

The Tourism Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism is beefing up its Retirement/Relocation efforts this year. The marketing budget was reinstated after being zeroed out the last two years. This catchup budget will allow us to develop extensive digital content that will be used to rebuild the retirement and relocation websites.

Why is this important? Because Boomers are retiring at a rate of 10,000 a day, but a new and emerging opportunity for Arkansas is the relocation market. The younger generations – including those 85-million millennials – now live in a world where they can choose where they want to live even before they choose how they make their living.

  • These audiences are key targets that have higher disposable incomes and are actively looking for a new location to live or retire.
  • We recommend a print and digital advertising presence in order to target these audiences in key feeder markets in the region.
  • Publications include: AARPMidwest Living, AY and brochure listings in D Magazine, Oklahoma and Memphis
  • Digital networks include AARP Midwest region and 4Info, which uses Acxiom data targeting.
